Linda Hull Headshot
COPY EDITOR

Linda Hull

Linda Hull grew up in Miami, Florida, spending most of her time playing with imaginary friends and making up stories. Once in a while, she would write some of those stories down and distribute them among a very select, highly amused audience.

She began her writing career working in restaurants, department stores, airlines, a car wash, a dry cleaner, and, very briefly, a pizza delivery service to support herself. Linda then found her calling (one of several) and began to work in the travel industry for airlines and cruise lines where she got the chance to travel the world.

Linda then answered a second calling as a theatre tech in a theme park where she got to watch kids see their fantasies come to life and meet lots of creative types who encouraged her to follow her dream of becoming a writer. So she went to Rollins College and got a BA in English/Writing. Since then Linda Hull’s work has been seen onstage at Universal Studios, the Orlando Fringe Festival, and onscreen at several film festivals.

Balancing a full-time job with freelance editing, promoting her stories, and writing fresh content, Linda Hull takes writers’ stories to new levels of clarity, creativity, and precision.

Lena Camacho headshot
BETA Reader

Lena Camacho

Lena Camacho grew up in Pompano, Florida and spent most of her adult life freezing in Chicago. As soon as her older sister taught her how to read, she fell in love and read everything she could get her hands on. Lena decided at age six that she would become an adult learner and share her love of learning with others. Thank goodness for tablets, otherwise her house would still be filled with all kinds of novels and magazines. Her escape from reality was always reading, and that in turn, expanded her imagination and continues to do so.

She discovered a love of music and learned to play the accordion and violin, wrote poetry, and participated in school theatre and choir. Lena attended Loyola University, started her official public school teaching career with 42 sixth graders, and yet continued teaching in underserved communities. She also worked with juveniles who were in the justice system to prevent recidivism. Her work as an elementary and middle school teacher, mentor, professional development coordinator, teacher coach, ESL teacher, bilingual coordinator, and administrator gave her experiences with people from all over the world.

As a freelance Beta Reader, Developmental/Content Coach, and Proofreader, Lena works closely with authors so that their stories can come to life. She is constantly amazed at the imaginations of authors and, in addition to Beta Reading, offers encouragement, and quotes that really evoke an emotion or vision.

Bellamy Kennedy

Young enough to be raised by the internet yet old enough to not have been an iPad kid, they grew up looking at the stars waiting for an alien to come introduce itself and lead an otherworldly adventure. Now, she knows those fantastical introductions come on book pages and in headphones and on both big and little screens. She may not be able to live in the Pokémon universe, but reading about mythical creatures and hard fought battles doesn’t feel too much like settling.

Alicia Strickland riding a horse
beta reader

alicia strickland

Alicia grew up in Palo Alto, California. As an only child, she didn’t have siblings to keep her company. She had books.

From an early age, her world centered around books and make-believe. She would weave her own stories of imaginary friends and outrageous adventures — little knowing that, one day, she’d grow up to put her tales into books.

In high school, Alicia was the girl in English class you hated — the one who set the curve. She excelled in English, history, and the arts. But she didn’t understand then that her path was writing. Instead, she focused on the arts by earning her interior- and fashion-design degrees.

But writing would never quite go away (thanks to her best friend and mother).

Today, Alicia can be found writing novels under four different pen names — each geared to a different audience. She keeps up her design skills through her books, which she uses as teaching aids, and also through blog sites.

She also owns a freelance writing business which is geared to helping other businesses succeed through online marketing.

Besides writing, Alicia still loves to read and is also an avid proofreader and copyeditor.

Her keen eye for detail is attributed to her strong foundation in the visual arts.

Known for her straightforward approach, she provides constructive feedback while respecting the fact that the manuscript represents the author’s hard work and passion. She always keeps in mind that there is a person who carefully crafts every word written. She is a certified proofreader and a member of the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders. Maintaining quality and excellence is paramount to her.

Deborah lives in Newbury, England, with her husband Jason and their rescue cat Max. Her favourite genres are Romance and Crime novels, especially when they are combined! She loves nothing more than losing a few hours in a great book. When not working hard to help authors with their manuscripts, she likes to relax by gardening, practising yoga, or dancing around in a Zumba class.

There, she oversaw all aspects of editing, including taking on acquisition duties and finding new and exciting talent.

Although she primarily specializes in fiction, Rebecca has edited several scientific papers and has worked on nonfiction projects as well, such as memoirs.
